Their dream day was brought to life with the help of Victoria from Intimate Weddings of Orlando, who knew just the perfect spot: the stunning Paddlefish package at Disney Springs. Planning Made Simple and Sweet
Planning a wedding in Orlando from overseas might sound tricky, but Victoria made it incredibly simple and smooth. She connected Shannon and Connor with the very best wedding vendors in Central Florida.
The gorgeous setting started with the flowers. Flowers by Lesley created a vision of beauty, from Shannon’s lovely bouquet and Connor’s boutonniere to the amazing decor on the arch. Speaking of the arch, Crystal Event Rentals provided a striking pentagonal arch that took center stage on the third-floor deck of Paddlefish, right where the couple said “I do!”
And what’s a wedding without cake? Danielle with Sugar Sugar Cake Boutique baked a custom, petite wedding cake. The smell of the buttercream alone was intoxicating, and the flavor? Absolutely delicious!
Capturing Every Magical Moment
To make sure every laugh, tear, and sweet glance was remembered, Captured by Chris was on hand. Chris photographed the entire day, from Shannon’s arrival to their emotional walk down the aisle, the ceremony, and all the family pictures. But the magic didn’t stop there! After the ceremony, Chris whisked the newlyweds around the immediate Disney Springs area for some truly enchanting couples portraits. This is key for any Disney wedding photography album!
Their heartfelt ceremony was led by Rev Glynn Ferguson, owner of Sensational Ceremonies and an official Walt Disney World wedding officiant. Rev. Glynn crafted a beautiful custom ceremony, focusing on their love, long friendship, and dedication. He even gave them a special “homework assignment”—to write down why they love each other!
A Love Story 15 Years in the Making
Their story is one for the ages! Shannon wrote that she and Connor have known each other since they were five years old. She joked that she “hated his guts” for a while before he finally asked her to be his girlfriend in high school. They’ve been a couple since they were just 15! Shannon called Connor the “most determined and hard working man” she knows, and she especially loves his thoughtfulness, his skills in the kitchen (he makes her dinner every night!), and how he’s come to embrace her large, loud, and loving family.
Connor wrote that Shannon is the only person on earth who could put up with him! He loves her kindness, her humor, and the fact that she is his opposite—doing all the socializing for the both of them. He said she makes him want to be better and that he can’t wait to have a family and a future with her.
Making It Official
Before the party could start, the all-important marriage license was needed! The smart couple planned ahead and reached out to Married By Mail. Diane helped them secure their Florida marriage license well before they even boarded their flight to Orlando.
