A Romantic Ceremony Above the Water
To bring their wedding vision to life, the couple teamed up with Victoria from Intimate Weddings of Orlando. After exploring several enchanting options, they fell in love with the unique Paddlefish package at Disney Springs.
The setting was absolutely breathtaking. High atop the iconic Paddlefish steamboat—three stories above the shimmering blue waters of Village Lake—Laura and Jacob exchanged rings and whispered their “I dos.” With a panoramic view of the Disney skyline behind them, it was the perfect spot for a romantic elopement.
Enchanting Floral Details and “Hidden Mickeys”
No Disney-inspired wedding is complete without a little bit of “pixie dust.” The talented floral designers at Raining Roses Productions crafted a stunning bridal bouquet and a matching boutonniere that were simply elegant.
The arrangement featured a cascade of snowy white roses in many different sizes. In a delightful nod to their magical surroundings, the designers tucked a tiny, bejeweled Mickey Mouse deep within one of the blossoms. Finding that “hidden Mickey” was a sweet surprise that added a touch of whimsy to their sophisticated look.
Heartfelt Vows: A Story of True Love
Rev. Glynn Ferguson, owner of Sensational Ceremonies and a premier Orlando wedding officiant, helped the couple create a bespoke wedding ceremony that moved everyone to tears. He invited them to share exactly why they fell in love, and their words were a beautiful testament to devotion.
Laura shared a touching tribute to Jacob’s strength. She talked about how he stood by her as a loyal friend during her darkest days of grief after losing her late husband. “As I came out of that fog, Jacob was standing there,” she wrote. She praised his incredible patience and the way he honors her sons’ need to keep their father’s memory alive.
Jacob’s words were just as powerful. He spoke about Laura’s “childlike enthusiasm” for life and her amazing capacity to love. He mentioned her obsession with all things Disney and her beauty, both inside and out. He promised a love that will thrive “from now until forever.”
