Lodge Love: Will and Jacqueline’s Magical Disney Elopement

Will and Jacqueline ‘s story started with a friendship years ago, but over time, that tiny spark of love grew into something truly special. When they decided to take the next big step, they knew they wanted to mix their love story with a little Disney magic!

The couple contacted Intimate Weddings of Orlando about having an elopement while on their Orlando vacation. They wanted the Disney feeling without the high cost of a formal wedding, and they found the perfect solution: an intimate in-room ceremony at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo House.

A Wildly Romantic Venue

Their choice of venue was absolutely inspired! By choosing a beautiful suite at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Will and Jacqueline had breathtaking views of the Serengeti right from their balcony. Imagine exchanging wedding vows while giraffes and zebras graze outside your window—it’s a truly unique wedding location and a romantic memory that only Disney can offer. This allowed them to have a magical ceremony while keeping their budget in check.

A Ceremony Built on Love and Friendship

The ceremony was led by Rev Glynn Ferguson, the owner of Sensational Ceremonies and an official Walt Disney World wedding officiant. Rev. Glynn worked with them to create a custom ceremony that spoke beautifully about the foundation of their relationship: friendship, love, and trust.

To make it even more personal, he gave them a fun “homework assignment”: to write why they love each other.

• Will wrote that Jacqueline is his “anchor to my ship” and a “beacon of hope” who helped him through hard times. He said she brought magic and happiness back into his life and that he wanted to repay her by experiencing two of her favorite things on their wedding day.
• Jacqueline wrote that she had a crush on him way back in junior high, but she was too shy to pursue it! Years later, she made the first move and is so glad she did. She loves that Will is patient, helps her grow in her career, and is understanding of her mental health issues. She said, “He builds me up rather than breaking me down.”

Stress-Free Planning from Afar

To make the whole process simple, the couple used Married By Mail to get their Florida marriage license before they even left home. The process was quick and easy, and the license was sent straight to their officiant to bring to the ceremony—that’s true convenience for a destination wedding!
